There are many year-round activities on the Peninsula. Start by visiting a variety of organic farms in the Sequim-Dungeness Valley area, including the Olympic Game Farm, organic and herb farms, and our many lavender farms. Sequim is becoming the Lavender Capital of North America. The Olympic Discovery Trail between Sequim and Port Angeles is perfect for a scenic bike ride, or play golf, visit local wineries, and enjoy dungeness crab at any of the many restaurants in Sequim and Port Angeles. Snowshoeing, downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, snow boarding, sledding, and tubing are all available during the winter at Hurricane Ridge. Or visit the Olympic National Park in the summer for hiking and biking. Port Townsend is only a 45-minute drive east of Sequim where you can shop in a true "Victorian" seaport, or take the Victoria Express to Victoria B.C., Canada for the day.
